As WEBDA reports: the chancellor of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Shahrokh Yousefzadeh Chabok said “12 medical educational projects were inaugurated via video conferencing simultaneously in the cities of Rasht, Lahijan, Anzali, Somesara, Rudsar, and Langrood with the presence of the Minister of Health and Medical Education, the chancellor of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, the parliament members, and the provincial and local authorities”.

“In this regard, Dr. Pirouz 222-bed general hospital in Lahijan, Lahijan Milad Hospital, 5 Labour Units (Labour, Delivery, Recovery) in the cities of Rasht, Somesara, Rudsar, Langrood, and Anzali, the first public infertility unit (IVF) in the province, the burn unit (ICU) of Velayat Hospital as the first ICU in the north of the country, the clinical skills center (skill lab) of Guilan University of Medical Sciences with the aim of promoting medical education and developing educational services, the improvement of Poursina emergency department, and Anzali Shahid Beheshti Hospital ICU were 12 medical educational projects in Guilan which at the same time were officially inaugurated,” he added. It is worth noting that 10 of the 12 projects were ordered and set up on the basis of Guilan University of Medical Sciences strategies of preserving, supplying, and improving the province health over the past 3 years.

The chancellor of Guilan University of Medical Sciences pointed out that about 170 billion tomans have been spent on the construction and equipping of these projects.
